RGC Engineering was established in 1960 as a small Toolmaking business in Johannesburg with two Tool & Cutter Grinders providing a tool sharpening service to local engineering firms which developed into a high precision Toolmaking Company.
Dedicated to supplying quality products to the highest standards of accuracy, the range of activities expanded to include, third party dimensional measuring facility, the Design, Reverse Engineering & Manufacture of special produced form tools, jigs, fixtures and the NC & CNC machining of high precision components, leading subsequently to a full manufacturing facility being established.
The present premises at KEW were then developed to form Stand 700 a property for future expansion. To date, RGC Engineering occupies 2000 square meters of the 5275 square meter building.
In 1975 a Sales Organisation was established to complement the Manufacturing Facilities and to increase the range of activities in the fields of Measurement, Metrology and Machine Tools.
To maintain customer satisfaction a comprehensive after sales back-up service for the products sold became necessary and in 1980 an efficient service, repair and maintenance division was established.
More recently RGC Engineering expanded its activities into the development of Hardware and Software for Statistical Process Control (SPC) and other special allied application Software including Cad-Cam capabilities.
At the SA Machine Tool 1990 and 1997 Exhibitions the company launched a number of new state of the art products.
RGC is now well established in the Measuring & Precision Manufacturing of Tooling and Machine Tools Industry and is able to offer the latest technologies in measuring equipment, machining tools and Tooling and 4 IR applications for the future.
RGC Engineering represents, sells and stocks the following products Mitutoyo, GOM, Marposs and Hermle amongst other world class companies. These products include small, medium, large, automated, industrial and SPC measuring solutions.
Our engineers and our staff are well trained by our distributors to provide excellent local service, installation, training, repair of products represented and supply an off-site and on-site measuring service.
